Shaneen has authored many articles and co-authored eight book chapters on First Nations architecture and design, collaborative practices, sustainability, and tropical design. This includes two chapters in Gunyah, Goondie + Wurley. The Aboriginal Architecture of Australia edited by Professor Paul Memmott. She was also case study lead for Palm Island on AHURI research: Indigenous lifeworlds, conditionality and housing outcomes with the University of Queensland.
Since 2017, Shaneen has been a support facilitator and ambassador for the Bulmba Build Masterclass and the Social Outreach Studio at the University of Queensland, coordinated by Associate Professor Kelly Greenop, further reinforcing her commitment to education, advocacy, and First Nations-led design. These courses bridge student learning with On Country design experiences and provide important two-way learning between design students and First Nations knowledge holders.
